all a bit digital

Pick of the week

Readymag [Digital publishing]

Let's change digital publishing forever, be what is says on the website, and while that's quite an ambitious aim, why not? It's not like most mainstream magazines and newspapers have sussed out a good digital experience, so there's no reason this platform couldn't succeed in the marketplace. Be sure to check out the example mag about Dieter Rams, he of the Ten Principles for Good Design.

More linkage

Words are the soul of UX [Article]

52 weeks of UX has been around for a while, but remains very relevant. Read this article, then read the other 51 weeks of content. See you in a year!

Storm Thorgerson [Article]

It's likely his name is not familiar to you, but you've probably seen his work and may even own a copy of one of his pieces. Read this Creative Review article about a great graphic designer.

One way ticket to Mars [An epic journey]

Fancy a trip to Mars? If you can wait until 2023 (with some intensive interviews and a bit of training in the mean time) then consider the Mars One project. All citizens of planet Earth welcome to apply. Just don't expect to come back. The Verge have an article about it, if you need a second opinion.

Gidsy [Web service]

Gidsy is a service that lets you find activities organised by real people in a wide range of cities around the world. A simple idea, well executed.

NSFW [Website]

If you enjoy the expletives of Malcolm Tucker from The Thick of It then you'll enjoy this website. If you don't and you also find swearing particularly offensive, don't visit the website. Oh, you've left. Clearly curiosity got the better of you!
