Subform [App]
This application seems like a real game-changer for those that prototype and design apps for all sorts of devices. It cuts out the need prototype with code, or design hundreds of static variations in Photoshop (other image applications are available). Absolutely inspired and I think well worthy of your support on Kickstarter, if of course you need this kind of tool in your life.
Noto [Video: 6:42]
Noto is a world first. A typeface that has language support for pretty much every language ever written. It's an amazing five-year effort by a team at Google and Monotype, and for me represents exactly the kind of good works that global technology companies can help bring to life. Just brilliant.

The Great Tudor Bake Off [Video: 2:01]
Two minutes of comedy baking gold from the Horrible Histories gang. “Paul Hollybush and Mary Queen of Scones set our bakers the challenge of baking a loaf of Tudor bread.”
DIY Papercraft [Kickstarter]
Here's a Kickstarter campaign for DIY papercraft. It's a neat idea that celebrates the potential of paper and getting into the maker spirit. Chameleons, pandas and rabbits to name jut a few of the animals you can make. There are 20 days left on the campaign, so there's plenty of time to back the project if you're interested.
Crash: how computers are setting us up for disaster [Long read]
This is a fascinating read by Tim Harford (he of More or Less fame, amongst other things) about how computers and our reliance on their abilities is setting us up for disaster. It is well worth spending some time to read it, but to warn you, it uses the story of Air France Flight 447 (which flew out of Rio de Janeiro on 31 May 2009 and crashed into the Atlantic) as its primary case, so be mindful if you're concerned about air travel.
