Staying in the middle can be a hard task, especially in times of populism and economic insecurity. Nick Clegg states his case for politics between the extremes with clarity and passion in this book, that, while it covers his time during the coalition government of 2010-15, does not dwell on the specifics of what happened during that period. Rather, he paints a broader picture of the liberal, centrist ideal, covering a variety of contemporary issues with insight and suggestions for the future.
Whatever your political colour, it's well worth a read. In fact, it's more important you read it if you don't agree with him, given the book's central theme revolves around the need for us all to engage in more forward-thinking debate.
