Call it a day
Friday’ll do
Reflecting through writing by me . . .
- - - - - -
Continually moving on swiftly
Scheduled to leave yesterday
No denying legitimate follies
Casting aspersions brazenly again
Dally for individual melancholy
Soft instrumental music plays
An emotional scene begins to occur
So pause for dramatic effect
Okay, here’s the elevator
Okay, it’s never too late
Yes, but to get the answers
Means falsifying the accounts
Eccentric rennaissance genius abounds
But the printer runs out of paper
And the computer needs updating
So management decides to be creative
Despite the lacklustre motivation
And because of the office environment
There’s only twenty minutes to go
Before it all blows up quite vigorously
But what caused the explosion
Remains suspiciously still unclear
But what caused the indifference
Was undeniably, clearly foreseen
So maybe, given circumstances
So definitely, given appearances
So frankly, given indifference
It is time to call it a day
