Take your time so someone (or something) else doesn’t
Listen and learn from others and don’t demean, judge, label or patronise them for their differences (or even your own motives) but instead investigate with balance and fairness, even some critical thinking, to constructively interpret, converse, question and debate; don’t just take things at face value or for the ‘prestige’ of even more likes and worthy associations as it was easy and digitally convenient to press that algorithmically-powered and behaviourally-tempting button; work with and for, more so, the mentally and or physically disabled and vulnerable of (our neurotypical, ableist and capitalist) society as improved potential is, and more inclusive attitudes and discoveries are, more likely to be made and that can truly benefit all; don’t perpetuate or enforce a view or idea, especially those that sustain self-justifying myths and the accumulation of more status, quantifiable data and monetary profit for the sake of personal relevancy or group power; understand and appreciate nuance; guide, educate and perform compassion but don’t dictate or humiliate through presumptions or prejudice; encourage collaboration and empower creativity and diversity; nurture community with meaningful involvement, engagement, trust, humility, pragmatism, even a gardening mindset to assist growth, patience and lessen the seemingly rampant need for immediate results; attention brings focus, perspective raises awareness and rights and privileges come with obligations and responsibilities.
