You cry a lot in this job – but not on camera, for that is intrusive and thrusts your emotion in the viewers’ face, inhibiting them for deciding for themselves what they wish to feel. Words, not emotion, are the reporters’ medium.

We didn’t exactly get used to being shot at. It just used to happen a lot, that’s all.
