A series of entertaining and light-hearted conversations (with plenty of opinion!) about the world of F1 (and other forms of racing!) by two elder statesmen of going quite quickly, round a racing circuit, while in an object with wheels outside it and some parts in it, like a steering wheel and some pedals that do things when pressed.
A good passage
Johnny: [...] I’m known as being a very happy-go-lucky kind of chap, and generally I am. You’d be surprised by the amount of people, F1 fans included, who have absolutely no idea it happened [career-threatening injuries from a pretty serious race incident in 1988] and that’s partly because I used to go out of my way to avoid talking about it. Being Mr Cheerful used to help me to come to terms with it, and adopting that persona came naturally to me. The only problem with that was that I probably became a bit too happy-go-lucky and lost a little bit of my competitive edge. It was essential, though. It was either be miserable and damaged, which would never have worked, or happy and damaged, which fortunately did.
