An attempt at world-building around magic and its ‘spellmakers’ and ‘spellbreakers’ but one that had little depth to be honest. Its characters and plotting worked okay, with a few twists and turns, but it felt a bit like it just wanted to be a film or TV series (and one that just happened to be set in England as a few English place names were used, alongside a few nods to Victorian-era things to aid the historical context)!
