Climb Your Mountain

Everyday lessons from an extraordinary life

Ranulph Fiennes

Having read it

★★☆☆☆

Not great to be honest, so a two out of five and not particularly well typeset in my opinion, so a definite zero out of five for that part.

For the bits I bothered to read after reading the prologue to get a feel for its point, it sort of seemed repetitive across chapters despite using different words and past experiences to help document a lot of his views and opinions and not too shabby achievements tackling his many adventures around the globe.

However, it seemed like it was a (marketing?) team’s excuse, sorry, attempt at gathering, collating, organising and then presenting a well-known person’s words and life story, sort of and in a slightly-trying-too-hard-to-be-different way!

A good passage

I used my churning thoughts of hostility as something to concentrate on, an occupational therapy to keep my mind off self-pity.
