Act of Oblivion

Robert Harris

Having read it

★★☆☆☆

Apart from a few interesting moments it all felt a little tired, even lost.

It has a historically accurate foundation, well, as much as possible, as stated by the author, but lacked any pace and was too long for what could (maybe should) have really just been a good page turning adventure, not the Act of Ennui it was.

Still, the publisher said, at the end of the book’s blurb, that is was ‘[...] the thrilling new novel by Robert Harris’.

Well, they at least got the author’s name correct.
