A story with good ideas and some thoughtful, funny and even acerbic moments but one that didn’t seem to gel quite as one sort of expected from its blurb and the heaps of praise from others; the first two thirds of it seemed a bit lost but the last third sort of helped explain some things and confirmed a few of my spacetime and plot guesses, even if I did skim through it just to complete the book.
