Convenience

May not be convenient

Will potentially (or probably) be (part of) humanity’s downfall.

The perceived and actualised conveniences of life, seemingly more prevalent in the early twenty-first century (a somewhat arbitrary gesture of adding a time stamp to proceedings begot by ‘the most victorious’ tribe of planetary proceedings!) aid the commodification of many technologies, products, services, even attitudes and approaches to ‘getting things done’ and ‘achieving results’ if you just: follow this method; take this pill; wear this fashion; drive this car (despite all the gadgets that are included to aid distraction from the actual task of controlling a vehicle); get this smartphone; order this takeaway; tick this box… and so on.. is all just leading, surely, to inconvenience, on a grand scale?

For instance, don’t learn to read a map and maybe gain some spatial awareness too or enjoy the actual, physical world (and all its reality) while walking, not the two-dimensional one that sort of glows from your hand or learn and develop a recipe and actual try cooking it yourself.

But, there’s a product and/or service for those kinds of things as I am just soooo busy.
