A good, steady read with a decent narrative and characters (and even helpful comment and perspective from them in relation to what the series covers) all set in historical realities that gave it a good sense of purpose and one I didnt’t guess correctly whodunnit!

A good passage

‘Excellent,’ said Fraser. Iris, you’ll make a note of all these for me, won’t you? Funny, isn’t it?’ he added. ‘The blackout’s made us all equal in that respect, hasn’t it? Now we’re the ones helping the sighted, instead of the other way around.’
